How does Consult46 work?
Referral by primary doctor
The primary physician refers the patient for specialist opinion with the id of the concerned doctor and a link to the Consult46 website.
patient books an appointment
Patient uses the Consult46 portal to choose a suitable time slot for consultation with the expert of choice.
Online consultation takes place
On the scheduled time, the specialist doctor and patient get into the consultation via Google Meet.
Patient is referred back
At the end of the consultation, a prescription is provided by the doctor, who then refers back the patient to the primary doctor
Primary doctor continues follow up
The patient continues to be under the follow up with their primary physician.

Do I need a referral letter?
Yes, during the appointment booking process, you will be required to upload a pdf of your referral letter.
Can I get an immediate appointment?
This depends on the availability of time slots with your doctor of choice. It is possible that you might be able to book a slot which is close to real time.
How can I make the payment?
Currently UPI is the only mode of payment available, although we are wokring towards adding all forms of payments including Net Banking, Debit and Credit cards.
Do I neeD to have a Google account?
No, this is not necessary to join a live Meet.
Do I need to install any app?
The appointment automatically creates a Google Meet link for the consultation. The user can click on the link to join the meet via web browser or preferably through the Gmail or Meet app. Hence the app is not necessary as long as you have access to a browser.
Can I reschedule mY appointments?

Will I receive a prescription?
Yes, you will receive a prescription from your Doctor in pdf format, at the end of your consultation.
Do I need follow up consults?
After the consult, you will be referred back to your primary physician. If further evaluation and follow up is needed, you may be called back for a repeat visit.

This website is the result of doctors’ own experiences with a three-pronged problem.
First one, of the doctors who are the primary physicians of patients. They often come across rare conditions which are not contained in their primary area of expertise.
Next, of the patients who may need to travel hundreds of miles to reach a rare disease specialist doctor, which is time consuming, cumbersome and expensive.
Lastly, of the specialist doctors who want to cater exclusively to patients in their area of expertise, but are often limited by their location.
We created Consult46 as a portal which attempts to fix this problem.
